There is the birthplace of the last king of Rzech Pospolita Stanislav August Ponyatovski
(1733-1798) near the pushcha (Volchin). His ashes were also brought to the same place, the
Trinity Roman-Catholic church (it was built in the 18 th century) from Petersburg for the
reburial.
Northwards to the pushcha there is Count Tyshkevichs country estate, who took part the Polish revolt (1830-1831) against tsarism. Belavezhskaya Pushcha is also remarkable for the fact that all the princes of the Great Dutch of Lithuania and kings of Rzech Pospolita and since the 19 th century all Russian emperors have visited it. All of them had the only cause for coming here, it was the magnificence of princes, kings and emperors hunting. Since 1991 hunting tourism has started carried out in Belavezhskaya Pushcha. Appropriate material resources have been created and huntmasters have been trained here for the reception of tourist-hunters including foreigners. A significant number of deers, boars, roes and aurochs are harvested annually for the
purpose of improvement of wild animals populations structure, creation of conditions for the
natural forest renewal by means of selection game shooting and catching animals for setting
them apart.
The Russian emperors hunters palace is situated now on the territory of Poland. From east to west the Pushcha is crossed by an ancient "tsars road" by which Russian tsars made their way to the hunters palace. Ancient bridges with open-worked railings which had been decorated with an eagle, the arms of the Russian Empire, have preserved on the "tsars road". Visiters can view an ancient man's site of mesolithic epoch on the territory of the National Park as well as barrow-pointers along ancient roads, funeral monuments-barrows, survey "Viskuli" complex, Count Tyshkevichs country estate and an ancient tower "Belaya Vezha" as well as monuments of cultural architecture. The National Park disposes of large opportunities for ecological tourism development. Here

In the administrative building of the park there is an assembly hall for 100 places where symposiums, conferences and other arrangements can be held.
